sorry for the lack of updates. i'm still alive, if only barely.

university and work are kicking my ass and taking over my life. i'm a TA for a photography class. i'm still not quite sure how that happened, but whatever. random job is better than no job (although that's not to say that i didn't enjoy being unemployed. on the contrary- i quite thoroughly enjoyed being unemployed and irresponsible). i've applied to study abroad in italy next semester, but i haven't heard back from them yet, so who knows if i got in. i hope so, but we'll see.

responsibilities suck. growing up is only fun when i'm drunk, which i am quite often.

i'm taking a creative writing class and i had to write a short story for it. i might post it here eventually. might.

i've jumped onto two new fan bandwagons:
TYZULA (ty lee x azula from avatar: the last airbender)
FABERRY (quinn fabray x rachel berry from glee)

personally, i call faberry "quachel" because i prefer that. i also refer to them as gleesbians. but...yeah. just a heads up. don't know if i'll be writing anything for glee, but i've written some stuff for tyzula. i'll link to it sometime when my nails aren't wet.

...i just painted them. i'm heading off to a party in a few hours, so i figured, whatever- i'll paint my nails to kill time. haha

as for TWYMMF, i haven't touched it in months. i know, i know. i'm sorry. i just haven't had any time. why did no one warn me that junior year of university would be so exhausting? anyway, hopefully i'll get some time to work on it over thanksgiving break and winter holiday, but...again, we'll see. there's just so much going on that it's absolutely unbelievable. this semester has already flown by.

so i have like, at least ten more chenzel fics that i need to post on here that were written ages ago and posted elsewhere, but i am just too lazy. according to my fic sticky note, i have to post the following:

HP UPDATES:

for anyone who is interested/concerned, i am in the process of rewriting an old fic of mine called "The Way You Make Me Feel." it's a harry potter fic and it's horrible, old, and embarrassing. i kept trying to work on it, but every time i had to re-read it to work on it, i would find myself overcome by exasperation and just give up. haha. so i'm just overhauling and rewriting everything. i've made some great progress so far; i'm on chapter 4 and i'm about 2/3 done with the chapter. i'm planning on doing 10 chapters, but i'm not promising anything. i'm also planning on finish the entire fic and then posting the chapters one by one. i won't make the mistake of working and posting as i go; the last time i did, it left a lot of holes in my story and i ended up writing myself into a corner.

i'm experiencing a few plotbunnies, so i might actually be writing a little oneshot. i'm enjoying working on TWYMMF (redux) but it's a lot more narrative than i'm used to writing, and it's first person alternating. it drives me a little crazy, because i'm used to writing in third person omniscient. it's just so much easier. writing in first person alternating is fun, though, and it's an interesting challenge to see if i can vary my tone enough to sell the idea that it's two different people. my beta (breakthrough09) has played a huge role in my writing for the past two years. she says she's my number one fan (haha) and i actually believe her, because she's been so supportive and has become such a wonderful, dear, close friend. i love her dearly, and no other beta will ever do. she's not a typical beta in that she checks my grammar and syntax, but she reads more for content; i always needed a content-checker more than a spell-checker, anyway. i got into the Chenzel fandom and i dragged her along for the ride, and she supported me in those endeavours as well. she's really been amazing at motivating me to write and keep going, so i feel like she's done as much work on TWYMMF as i have. half of the credit goes to her, just because i wouldn't write at all if she weren't there to tell me to. loL*

anyway. about the plotbunnies. i'm planning a oneshot, but it's not definite yet. i'm trying to focus my energies on working on TWYMMF (redux). i'm keeping the title, by the way. i hate the title now, but i'm keeping it just because my beta told me to. she said that people would be looking for it, and i agree with her. overall, i'm pleased with how the rewrite is going. i think it's a lot more mature and in-depth than it was when i began it (five years ago...oh my god hahahahahaha SLACKER SUPREME). i've matured a lot as a writer, and i like to think that my style has evolved in a way that has benefited me. tonally, the fic is different. fleur is a lot darker. i think i should also mention that it's pretty spoilery for HP: DH.

i'm considering posting a little bit of a preview snippet for it, but i'll have to think about it a little more, first.
